Gentle, experienced care for your baby

Dr Taf Makamure and Dr Amanda Sabel have undergone specialised training to provide assessment and tongue tie release for babies up to 8 weeks of age, where a tongue tie is affecting feeding or tongue function.

Our care includes

• Assessment of your baby’s tongue and feeding concerns
• Discussion of breastfeeding or bottle-feeding difficulties
• Tongue tie release where clinically appropriate
• Support and guidance for parents throughout the process
• Coordination with your Midwife, GP or other feeding professionals where required

Fees

If your baby is showing on your Medicare card on the day of the appointment

• The Doctor’s consultation will be bulk billed
• A $100 private treatment fee applies

If your baby is not yet showing on your Medicare card

• Parents will pay the Doctor’s consultation fee, which can be claimed back from Medicare
• A $100 private treatment fee applies

Please ensure you bring your Medicare card/details to your appointment if your baby has recently been added.

How to book

Baby tongue tie appointments cannot be booked online.
